Cold Spring Trail
Trail: .5 mile (1 mile out and back)
Degree of difficulty: Easy to Moderate
Blaze: Yellow
The Cold Spring Trail offers hikers the opportunity to experience a lush forest filled with ferns, mosses, and rhododendron. This trail is particularly beautiful in July when the rhododendrons are in bloom, and the trail corridor becomes lined with hundreds of white and pink flowers.
Hikers can choose to extend their hike by linking this trail to the Laurel Branch trail. However, it's important to note that the trail can be rocky in its lower section, and it can become slippery in wet conditions. Therefore, hikers should exercise caution and wear appropriate footwear when attempting this trail.
